How to Fund Your Hyperliquid Account

Four ways to fund Hyperliquid in minutes.

Self-custody. Not financial advice. High risk.

Understanding Hyperliquid Funding

Hyperliquid allows you to fund your account using USDT or USDC from Arbitrum. You can also fund your account using native Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and other coins. This guide will show you how to fund your account using Arbirtum.
Funding your Hyperliquid account means moving supported collateral to the Arbitrum network. You'll need two things: stablecoin collateral (USDC or USDT) for trading margin, and a small amount of ETH for transaction gas fees.

Supported Collateral

USDC and USDT on Arbitrum network

Network

Arbitrum (Layer 2 on Ethereum)

Gas Requirements

Keep $5-10 in ETH for transactions

Important: Only send assets to your own wallet address over the Arbitrum network. Test with a small amount first. Wrong network = potential loss of funds.

Funding Methods

Direct Fiat On-Ramp

Users starting with cash and a bank card/transfer

5-15 min
2-5%

Steps:

  1. 1Choose a provider (Moonpay, Transak, Ramp Network)
  2. 2Select Arbitrum network and USDC/USDT stablecoin
  3. 3Complete KYC verification and payment
  4. 4Funds land in your wallet on the correct chain
Fastest method but higher card fees. Limits vary by country and verification level.
CEX → Withdraw to Hyperliquid Network

Users with assets on Bybit, Bitget, Mexc

10-30 min
$1-5

Steps:

  1. 1Buy USDC or USDT on your centralized exchange (Bybit, Bitget, Moonshot, MEXC)
  2. 2Choose Arbitrum as the withdrawal network
  3. 3Paste your self-custody wallet address carefully
  4. 4Withdraw and confirm arrival in your wallet
Watch for wrong-network withdrawals! Always double-check the network matches what Hyperliquid supports.
See Hyperliquid's docs for guidance.
Bridge from Another Chain

Users who hold tokens on a different network

1-20 min
$2-10

Steps:

  1. 1Connect wallet to a trusted bridge (Across, Stargate, Debridge)
  2. 2Select from your current network → to Arbitrum
  3. 3Choose USDC/USDT as the asset if possible
  4. 4Approve transaction and wait for finality (1-20 min)
Bridging times and fees vary. Use only reputable bridges and verify contracts.
Swap On-Chain After Arrival

Users who bridged the wrong asset

1-3 min
$0.50-2

Steps:

  1. 1Use a DEX on Arbitrum (Uniswap, 1inch, SushiSwap)
  2. 2Swap your asset to USDC or USDT
  3. 3Keep a small gas buffer (0.001-0.005 ETH)
  4. 4Verify token contract address before swapping
Watch for slippage on large trades. Always verify you're swapping the correct token contract.
